About Richard P. Van Why
Not only an expert and recognized authority on Fibromyalgia, Richard Van Why has had fibromyalgia since the late 80's. He has experienced significant relief from many of the effects through application of the information he share in this program. More than just a professional seminar, he considers this research, and sharing his findings, a labor of love.
Richard P. Van Why is a nationally known author and educator in the fields of the history of massage and the treatment of painful disorders, including fibromyalgia syndrome and painful syndromes of the head, neck and face. He is editor and compiler of The Bodywork Knowledgebase, an index and archive containing more than twelve thousand published works on clinical massage and related therapeutic modalities for the treatment of specific medical problems.
He has published several journal articles in Massage magazine, Massage Therapy Journal, and other publications. He has lectured at several schools of massage and professional association meetings, and at the Touch Research Institute of the University of Miami where he has served as a consultant since 1988.
He is a member of many professional associations, including the American Massage Therapy Association, the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals, the American Council for Headache Education and the National Headache Foundation.
